This is more flexible than shared hosting, as an organizations has full control over the server(s), including choice of operating system, hardware, etc. Server administration can usually be provided as an add-on service. In most cases a dedicated server offers less overhead and a greater return on investment. All dedicated servers are housed in reliable data centers, similar to colocation facilities, providing redundant power sources and HVAC systems.
